Surrey Botanical Society

Welcome to Our Website

Dactylorhiza incarnata ssp puchella Originally known as Surrey Flora Committee, our Surrey Botanical Society has been well-established for many years, to represent and unite all those who want to enjoy, study, and record Surrey's astonishingly interesting, beautiful, and diverse flora.

We hold regular Field Meetings in the growing season, which are very enjoyable. All are welcome, and no previous experience is demanded. There is a strong supportive, educational and social element to these meetings, and our more knowledgeable members are always ready to help those in need. There is an annual AGM of course, and a Social Evening, and other possible activities are being discussed.

Plant Records are co-ordinated with the nationwide Botanical Society of the British Isles, Surrey Wildlife Trust, Plantlife and other Botanical and Natural History Societies. We are compiling a Rare Plants Register, and gradually working towards a new Surrey County Flora.

New Members are always welcome and an application form can be downloaded from this website.
